Ingredients/Components

  • sugar - 1 Tbsp
  • salt - 1/4 tsp
  • pepper - 1/8 tsp
  • tomato paste - 1/4 c
  • chopped, peeled tomatoes
  • hot cooked pasta - 1 item
  • chopped, fresh basil or 1 tsp - 1 Tbsp
  • chopped, fresh oregano or 1 tsp - 1 Tbsp

How to make tomato pasta sauce:

In food processor bowl with metal blade or blender container, combine chopped tomatoes, tomato paste, sugar, basil, oregano, salt and pepper. Process until smooth.

Pour mixture into 2-quart microwave-safe casserole. Microwave on full power for 5 to 6 minutes, stirring once, until piping hot. Serve over hot cooked pasta. Serves 2.
