- milk - 2/3 c
- sour cream - 3/4 c
- salt - 3/4 tsp
- butter - 2 Tbsp
- paprika - 1 item
- biscuit mix - 2 c
- pepper - 1/4 tsp
- mayonnaise - 1/3 c
- grated Cheddar cheese - 4 oz
- pinch of sage - 1 item
- leaf oregano - 1/4 tsp
- medium tomatoes, peeled and sliced 1/4-inch thick - 3 item
- Sour Cream Topping:1 medium onion, minced
How to make tomato cheese bread:
Sour Cream Topping:1 medium onion, minced2 Tbsp. butter3/4 tsp. salt1/4 tsp. pepper3/4 c. sour cream1/3 c. mayonnaise4 oz. grated Cheddar cheese1/4 tsp. leaf oregano pinch of sage Saute onion in butter until tender. Blend remaining ingredients; set aside.Preheat oven to 400°. Butter a 13 x 9-inch baking dish. Stir milk into biscuit mix to make a soft dough. Turn dough into well floured board and knead lightly 10 to 12 strokes. Pat dough over bottom of baking dish, pushing dough up sides of dish to form a shallow rim. Arrange tomato slices over dough. Spoon on Sour Cream Topping and sprinkle paprika. Bake 20 to 25 minutes. Let stand about 10 minutes before cutting.
