  • sugar - 1 qt
  • salt - 1 Tbsp
  • red pepper - 1/2 tsp
  • allspice - 1 tsp
  • black pepper - 1/2 tsp

How to make tomato catsup:

Crush tomatoes through colander or sieve. Combine all ingredients in a large pan and cook slowly until thick enough. Bottle or put into jars.
