Tomato casserole
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1 Tbsp
- butter or margarine - 1 item
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- pepper - 1/8 tsp
- onion flakes - 3 Tbsp
- slices bread - 12 item
- large can tomatoes - 1 item
How to make tomato casserole:
Toast bread. Spread with butter. Put 6 slices, buttered side down, in a 9 x 13-inch baking dish. Mix tomatoes, sugar, onion, salt and pepper. Pour over bread in dish. Put remaining slices, buttered side up, over mixture. Top with Mozzarella or Cheddar cheese. Bake for 1/2 hour in 350° oven.Recipe categories: Side dish, Casseroles, Tomato.
