Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 2 tsp
- salt - 2 tsp
- warm water - 1/2 c
- garlic powder - 1/8 tsp
- onion powder - 1/4 tsp
- white flour - 6 c
- dry yeast - 2 Tbsp
- tomato puree or spaghetti sauce - 3/4 c
- basil, crushed dried - 1 Tbsp
How to make tomato basil bread:
Proof yeast in 1/2 cup warm water along with the sugar (about 5 minutes). Add proofed yeast to the rest of the ingredients and mix until dough sticks together enough to clean sides of the bowl. Turn dough out onto floured surface and knead until smooth.Recipe categories: Breads, Weeknight, Kosher.
