  • sugar - 1/2 c
  • eggs - 2 item
  • pkg - 1 oz
  • unsifted flour - 1/2 c
  • firmly packed brown sugar - 1/2 c
  • chopped walnuts - 1 c
  • 9-inch unbaked pie shell - 1 item
  • whipped cream or ice cream optional - 1 item
  • butter, melted and cooled to room temperature - 1 c

How to make toll house pie:

Preheat oven to 325°. In a large bowl, beat eggs until foamy; beat in flour, sugar and brown sugar until well blended. Blend in melted butter. Stir in morsels and walnuts. Pour into pie shell. Bake at 325° for 1 hour. Remove from oven. Serve warm with whipped cream or ice cream.
