Toffee bars
Ingredients/Components
- softened butter - 1 c
- sugar - 3/4 c
- packed brown sugar - 3/4 c
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- eggs - 2 item
- flour - 2 c
- soda - 1 tsp
- salt - 1 tsp
- chopped walnuts - 1 c
- Nestle chocolate chips - 12 oz
How to make toffee bars:
Grease oblong pan, 13 x 9-inches. Mix butter, sugars and vanilla thoroughly. Beat in eggs. Blend in flour, soda and salt. Mix in walnuts. Spread in prepared pan. Sprinkle chocolate chips over top of dough. Place in preheated oven at 375° for 3 minutes. Remove and run knife through dough to marbleize. Return to oven; bake 20 to 25 minutes.
