- salt if desired - 1 item
- pumpkin seeds - 1 item
- vegetable oil, olive oil or butter - 1 item
- curry powder if desired - 1 item
How to make toasted pumpkin seeds:
Preheat oven to 250°. Clean seeds by rubbing off any fibers. Do not wash. Measure seeds. Combine every cup of seeds with one tablespoon of vegetable oil, olive oil or melted butter. Spread seeds on baking sheet, or on bottom of a baking dish. Sprinkle with one teaspoon salt or 1 teaspoon each of salt and curry powder. Roast 30 to 40 minutes (stir frequently), until seeds are crisp and browned. Cool and eat. Store seeds in airtight container.Recipe categories: Lunch/snacks, Fruit, Nuts.
