Thumb cookies

Ingredients/Components

• vanilla - 2 tsp
• salt - 1/2 tsp
• flour - 2 c
• brown sugar - 1 c
• sticks butter - 2 item
• egg yolks save egg whites - 2 item

How to make thumb cookies:

Mix into small balls. Mix egg white to froth. Dip balls into froth. Roll in chopped pecans. Bake at 350° for 5 minutes. Take out. Press thumb in center; then finish baking 10 to 12 minutes.

Ice with powdered sugar icing. Put jam in the center. Do while hot.
