Ingredients/Components

  • sugar - 2 Tbsp
  • vanilla - 1 tsp
  • flour - 1 c
  • butter - 1/2 c
  • pecans or peanuts, chopped - 1 c

How to make thumb cookies:

Cream butter, sugar and vanilla. Add pecans or peanuts and flour; mix well. Make into balls and put onto cookie sheet. Press thumb into middle of cookie, making an indentation. Bake at 350° for 10 minutes. Cool. Fill with icing, colored, or flavor of choice of jam.
