Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 2 c
- milk - 1 c
- vanilla extract - 2 tsp
- salt - 1 tsp
- eggs, beaten - 2 item
- baking powder
- baking soda
- vegetable oil - 1/2 c
- boiling water - 1 c
- all-purpose flour
- powdered sugar - 1 c
- Combine dry ingredients in large bowl
How to make the perfect chocolate cake:
Heat oven to 350°. Combine dry ingredients in large bowl. Add eggs, milk, oil and vanilla. Beat for 2 minutes on medium speed. Stir in boiling water (batter will be thin). Pour into two 9-inch round greased and floured pans or one 13 x 9-inch rectangle pan. Bake 30 to 35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the middle comes out clean. Cool completely. Remove from pan(s) and frost.The Perfect Chocolate Frosting:1 stick butter or margarine2/3 c. Hershey's cocoa1 c. powdered sugar1/3 c. milk1 tsp. vanilla extract Melt butter. Stir in cocoa.
