Ingredients/Components

  • sugar - 1 c
  • eggs - 2 item
  • vanilla - 1 tsp
  • salt - 1/4 tsp
  • chopped nuts - 1/2 c
  • cocoa - 1/3 c
  • baking powder - 1/4 tsp
  • unsifted all-purpose flour - 1/2 c
  • oil or melted butter - 1/2 c

How to make the best brownies:

Blend oil, sugar and vanilla in a mixing bowl. Add eggs; beat well with spoon. Combine flour, cocoa, baking powder and salt; gradually add to egg mixture until well blended. Stir in nuts. Spread in greased 9-inch square pan. Bake at 350° for 20 to 25 minutes or until brownie begins to pull away from edges of pan. Cool in pan. Makes 16 brownies.
