Ingredients/Components

  • vegetable oil - 1 Tbsp
  • clove garlic, minced - 1 item
  • teriyaki sauce - 1/3 c
  • crushed red pepper - 1/4 tsp
  • toasted sesame seed - 2 Tbsp
  • beef flank steak - 1 lb
  • finely chopped ginger - 1 Tbsp

How to make thai ribbons:

Soak 30 (6-inch) bamboo skewers. Combine teriyaki sauce, ginger, oil, garlic and red pepper. Cut steak across grain into 1/4-inch thick slices. Place meat in plastic bag. Pour marinade over steak and marinate in bag up to 2 hours. Thread slices on bamboo skewers. Place on rack in broiler pan 3 to 4-inches from heat. Broil 2 minutes on each side. Sprinkle with sesame seed. (Can substitute chicken or pork.)
