Thai cucumber salad
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1/4 c
- white vinegar - 5 Tbsp
- chopped onion to taste - 1 item
- firm cucumbers - 2 item
- shredded fresh red chili - 1 Tbsp
- cilantro leaves to taste - 1 item
How to make thai cucumber salad:
Trim ends of cucumbers and scrape with fork to make a decorative pattern. Quarter the cucumbers lengthwise and remove seeds. Cut them crosswise into thin slices. Put in bowl and add chili. In small saucepan, combine sugar and vinegar; bring to boil. Cook, stirring, until the sugar has dissolved. Cool to room temperature and pour sauce over the cucumber mixture.
