Ingredients/Components
- vegetable oil - 1/2 c
- chili powder - 2 Tbsp
- chopped onions
- can tomato paste - 1 oz
- ground cumin - 1 Tbsp
- cloves garlic, chopped - 3 item
- cans tomatoes - 2 oz
- chopped green bell pepper - 1 c
- shredded Monterey Jack cheese - 1 item
- can kidney beans - 1 item
- beef bouillon granules - 8 tsp
- oregano leaves - 2 tsp
- stew meat
- chopped red bell pepper - 1/2 c
- can red beans - 1 item
- can chili hot beans - 1 item
How to make texas style chili:
Brown stew meat in vegetable oil; remove from skillet. Saute onions, bell pepper and garlic until tender. Combine all ingredients. Cook in slow cooker 5 to 6 hours or on stove top (bring to a boil, reduce heat, cover and simmer 2 hours). Garnish with cheese and serve with tortilla chips.Recipe categories: Main dish, Beef, Chili.
