Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 2 c
- eggs - 2 item
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- chopped pecans - 1 c
- milk - 4 Tbsp
- water - 1 c
- cocoa - 4 Tbsp
- confectioners sugar - 1 lb
- buttermilk - 1/2 c
- baking soda - 1 tsp
- all-purpose flour - 2 c
- sticks butter - 2 item
- Bring to a boil the butter, cocoa and water
How to make texas sheet cake:
Sift together sugar and flour. Bring to a boil the butter, cocoa and water. Add boiled mixture to the eggs, buttermilk, baking soda and vanilla and then mix with sugar and flour. Mix well. Pour into a greased and floured 12 x 16-inch flat pan (jelly roll pan). Bake at 400° for 20 minutes.Frosting:1 stick butter4 Tbsp. cocoa4 Tbsp. milk1 lb. confectioners sugar1 tsp. vanilla1 c. chopped pecans Bring the butter, cocoa and milk to a boil and add the sugar, vanilla and pecans.
