Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 2 c
- eggs - 2 item
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- milk - 6 Tbsp
- sour cream - 1/2 c
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- flour - 2 c
- butter - 3 c
- cocoa - 8 Tbsp
- baking soda - 1 tsp
- walnuts, chopped - 1 c
- box powdered sugar - 1 oz
How to make texas sheet cake:
Mix flour, sugar and salt in large bowl; set aside. In a saucepan, add 2 cubes butter, 1 cup water and 4 tablespoons cocoa. Bring to a boil and add to flour mixture. Mix well. Combine 2 eggs, beaten, 1/2 cup sour cream and 1 teaspoon baking soda. Add to the rest of the ingredients. Place in a jelly roll pan that has been sprayed with Pam and bake at 400° for 15 minutes. When cake is removed from oven and just warm, add topping.Topping: Bring 1 cube butter, 4 tablespoons cocoa and 6 tablespoons milk to a slight boil. Remove from heat and add 1 box powdered sugar, 1 teaspoon vanilla and 1 cup chopped walnuts. Pour onto cake and spread. Cut in squares 30 minutes later.
