Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 2 c
- eggs - 2 item
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- milk - 6 Tbsp
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- flour - 2 c
- stick margarine - 1 item
- water - 1 c
- cocoa - 4 Tbsp
- baking soda - 1 tsp
- sour milk or buttermilk - 1/2 c
- Mazola oil - 1/2 c
- Place sugar and flour in large bowl and pour this hot mixture over and stir
How to make texas sheet cake:
Put margarine, water, cocoa and oil in saucepan and bring to a rapid boil. Place sugar and flour in large bowl and pour this hot mixture over and stir. Mix sour milk, vanilla, salt, eggs and baking soda well and add to first mixture. Blend and pour into greased 11 x 16-inch pan. Bake at 400° for 10 to 15 minutes. Test for doneness.Icing:1 stick margarine4 Tbsp. cocoa6 Tbsp. milk While cake is baking, melt and bring to a boil, margarine, cocoa and milk. Add 1 box confectioners sugar and 1 cup nuts if desired.
