Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 2 c
- eggs - 2 item
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- milk - 6 Tbsp
- sour cream - 1/2 c
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- chopped nuts - 1 c
- flour - 2 c
- water - 1 c
- cocoa - 4 Tbsp
- sticks margarine - 2 item
- baking soda - 1 tsp
- powdered sugar - 1 lb
- Frosting:1 stick margarine
How to make texas sheet cake:
Frosting:1 stick margarine4 Tbsp. cocoa6 Tbsp. milk1 lb. powdered sugar1 tsp. vanilla1 c. chopped nuts Bring to a boil, margarine, cocoa and water; remove from heat. Add flour, sugar, salt and baking soda; mix well. Then add eggs and sour cream. Bake about 22 minutes in a cookie sheet with sides (11 x 16 x 1 1/4-inch deep jelly roll pan) at 375° (do not overbake). Frosting is put on cake as soon as it comes from the oven.Frosting: Bring margarine, cocoa and milk to a boil and remove from heat. Add powdered sugar, vanilla and nuts and pour over hot cake.
