Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 2 c
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- milk - 6 Tbsp
- flour - 2 c
- water - 1 c
- soda - 1 tsp
- cocoa - 1/4 c
- sticks margarine - 2 item
- eggs, beaten - 2 item
- box powdered sugar - 1 item
- buttermilk or 1/2 c - 1/2 c
- Pour over sugar and flour mixture
How to make texas sheet cake:
Put butter, cocoa and water in pan and cook until boiling. Pour over sugar and flour mixture. Add buttermilk, eggs, soda and vanilla. Mix well. Pour into greased cookie sheet. Bake at 400° for 20 minutes. Frost with Texas Sheet Cake Frosting.Frosting For Texas Sheet Cake:1 stick margarine4 Tbsp. cocoa6 Tbsp. milk1 box powdered sugar1 tsp. vanilla Bring cocoa, margarine and milk to a boil. Remove from heat. Add powdered sugar and vanilla. (May add walnuts or pecans.) Mix and pour over hot Texas Sheet Cake.Recipe categories: Desserts, Cakes, Egg.
