  • vanilla - 1 tsp
  • chopped pecans - 1/2 c
  • milk - 1/2 c
  • salt - 1 tsp
  • flour - 2 c
  • stick margarine - 1 item
  • water - 1 c
  • cocoa - 4 Tbsp
  • baking soda - 1 tsp
  • shortening - 1/2 c
  • beaten eggs - 2 item
  • box powdered sugar - 1 lb
  • Texas Sheet Cake Icing:1 stick butter

How to make texas sheet cake:

Texas Sheet Cake Icing:1 stick butter6 Tbsp. milk4 Tbsp. cocoa1 tsp. vanilla1 lb. box powdered sugar1/2 c. chopped pecans Mix together flour, sugar, salt and baking soda; set aside. Mix in a heavy saucepan the following: butter, cocoa, water, shortening and milk. Bring to a boil, then gradually add flour mix after removing from heat. Continue adding the eggs and vanilla and blend well. Grease and flour cookie sheet and add batter. Bake at 400° for 20 minutes and top with Texas Sheet Cake Icing.

Texas Sheet Cake Icing: Place butter, milk and cocoa in a heavy saucepan and bring to a boil. Remove from heat and add confectioners (or powdered) sugar and vanilla. Mix well and add pecans. Spread over Texas Sheet Cake as soon as it comes out of the oven.
