Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 2 c
- eggs - 3 item
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- milk - 6 Tbsp
- sour cream - 1/2 c
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- chopped nuts - 1 c
- flour - 2 c
- water - 1 c
- cocoa - 4 Tbsp
- baking soda - 1 tsp
- sticks oleo - 2 item
- box powdered sugar - 1 item
- Frosting:1 stick oleo
How to make texas sheet cake:
Frosting:1 stick oleo6 Tbsp. milk4 Tbsp. cocoa1 box powdered sugar1 tsp. vanilla1 c. chopped nuts Place oleo, water and cocoa in a saucepan and bring to boil. In a large bowl, mix sugar, flour and boiled mixture to flour mixture. Blend well. Add eggs and sour cream and soda. Beat well and pour onto well-greased cookie sheet (11 x 18 x 1-inch). Bake at 400° for 20 minutes. While cake is baking, make frosting.Heat on stove top oleo, milk and cocoa to a boil. Remove from heat. Add powdered sugar, vanilla and nuts. Spread on hot cake right from the oven.
