Ingredients/Components
- vegetable oil - 2 Tbsp
- chopped onion - 1 item
- chili powder - 1 tsp
- ground beef
- salt to taste - 1 item
- stalks celery, chopped - 4 item
- cooked rice
- can tomatoes - 16 oz
- Cheddar cheese - 3/4 c
- small green pepper, chopped - 1 item
How to make texas hash:
Saute onion, celery and pepper in oil until tender. Add meat and cook. Drain. Add chili powder and tomatoes. Cook 10 minutes. Stir in rice and salt. Turn into a shallow baking dish, sprinkle cheese over top and put under broiler for a few minutes untRecipe categories: Main dish, Ground beef, One Dish meal.
