Texas goulash
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1/2 tsp
- bay leaf - 1 item
- salt and pepper to taste - 1 item
- oregano - 1 Tbsp
- medium green pepper, chopped - 1/4 item
- whole onion, chopped - 1/2 item
- 1/2 cloves garlic, minced - 1 item
- ground chuck or beef - 1 lb
- can tomato paste small - 1/2 item
- or 6 mushrooms fresh cooked or canned, sliced - 5 item
- or 5 stewed canned tomatoes, chopped fine add a little juice - 4 item
How to make texas goulash:
Saute onion and green pepper, then meat. Saute mushrooms last; brown all. Add rest of ingredients. Add water to simmer down. After mixture boils to consistency desired, simmer another 30 to 45 minutes longer. Melts together with time. Serves 4.Recipe categories: Main dish, Ground beef, One Dish meal.
