Texas corn chowder
Ingredients/Components
- milk - 2 c
- butter or margarine - 1 Tbsp
- water - 1 c
- all-purpose flour - 1 Tbsp
- pepper - 1/8 tsp
- garlic salt - 1/4 tsp
- chopped onion - 1/4 c
- dash of paprika - 1 item
- chicken bouillon cube - 1 item
- corn - 1 c
- diced peeled potatoes - 1 c
- finely chopped jalapeno or green chilies - 1 2
How to make texas corn chowder:
In medium saucepan, saut?© onion in butter until tender. Stir in flour. Add potatoes, water and bouillon. Bring to a boil; reduce heat, cover and simmer 7 to 10 minutes or until potatoes are tender. Add corn, jalapeno, milk and seasonings. Cover and simmer 15 minutes. This recipe only serves 2. Double if you want more.Recipe categories: Soups & stews, Chowders, Bacon.
