  • sugar - 5 Tbsp
  • salt - 1 tsp
  • flour - 3 Tbsp
  • honey - 3 Tbsp
  • paprika - 1 Tbsp
  • chili powder - 3 Tbsp
  • catsup - 2 Tbsp
  • bay leaf - 1 item
  • oregano - 1 tsp
  • olive oil - 1/4 c
  • black pepper - 1/4 tsp
  • large green pepper - 1 item
  • onion - 1 c
  • cayenne pepper - 1/4 tsp
  • beef stock
  • cumin - 1 tsp
  • garlic - 1 Tbsp
  • spareribs - 4 lb
  • soya sauce - 3 Tbsp
  • meat
  • chili pods - 2 item
  • hot chicken broth or bouillon - 1 c

How to make texas chili:

Mix the ingredients and soak the ribs in this mixture for 2 hours. Then bake in oven at 300° for 2 or 3 hours. Baste every now and then with the sauce. If the ribs are fatty, drop them in boiling water for about 5 minutes before marinating, then proceed as directed. Serves 6.
