Ingredients/Components

  • whole chicken breasts, boned and skinned - 2 item
  • cornstarch - 3 Tbsp
  • vegetable oil - 1 Tbsp
  • garlic cloves, minced - 3 item
  • soy sauce - 5 Tbsp
  • white wine vinegar
  • water - 1/4 c
  • sugar - 1 tsp
  • chopped green onions - 1 item
  • dash of cayenne pepper - 1 item

How to make ten minute szechuan chicken:

Cut chicken into cubes. Toss lightly with cornstarch in paper bag. Heat oil in a large nonstick skillet; add chicken and garlic. Stir-fry until chicken is lightly browned. Add soy sauce, vinegar and water. Cover. Cook 3 minutes. Uncover; add onions (and cayenne pepper, if desired). Heat 2 minutes longer. Serves 4.

A family favorite. We have it when we celebrate Chinese New Year.
