Ten minute szechuan chicken
Ingredients/Components
- whole chicken breasts, boned and skinned - 2 item
- cornstarch - 3 Tbsp
- vegetable oil - 1 Tbsp
- garlic cloves, minced - 3 item
- soy sauce - 5 Tbsp
- white wine vinegar
- water - 1/4 c
- sugar - 1 tsp
- chopped green onions - 1 item
- dash of cayenne pepper - 1 item
How to make ten minute szechuan chicken:
Cut chicken into cubes. Toss lightly with cornstarch in paper bag. Heat oil in a large nonstick skillet; add chicken and garlic. Stir-fry until chicken is lightly browned. Add soy sauce, vinegar and water. Cover. Cook 3 minutes. Uncover; add onions (and cayenne pepper, if desired). Heat 2 minutes longer. Serves 4.A family favorite. We have it when we celebrate Chinese New Year.
