Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 2 c
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- baking powder - 2 tsp
- pinch of salt - 1 item
- shortening - 1 c
- large eggs - 2 item
- plain flour
How to make tea cakes:
Cream shortening and sugar. Add eggs and beat well. Add flour, baking powder, salt and vanilla. Knead a small amount at a time and roll out thinly. Cut into halves. Bake at 375° for 8 to 10 minutes on greased cookie sheet.Recipe categories: Desserts, Breads, Coffee cakes.
