  • sugar - 2 c
  • eggs - 3 item
  • vanilla - 2 tsp
  • flour - 5 c
  • soda - 1 tsp
  • buttermilk - 3/4 c
  • baking powder - 2 tsp
  • sticks butter - 3 item

How to make tea cakes:

Cream butter, sugar, eggs and vanilla. Add buttermilk and soda, stirred together. Add baking powder. Mix and chill for 3 to 4 hours. Roll into 1-inch balls and place on an ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 400° for 8 to 10 minutes, until lightly browned.
