Ingredients/Components
- sugar
- eggs - 2 item
- salt - 1 tsp
- flour - 4 c
- nutmeg - 1/2 tsp
- baking powder - 4 tsp
- shortening - 2/3 c
- sweet milk
- currants may substitute raisins - 1 c
How to make tea biscuits:
Mix first 5 ingredients together. Cut shortening into dry ingredients until coarse. Beat eggs well and add to sweet milk. Add currants to coarse mixture together with milk mixture.
