Tangy barbecue sauce
Ingredients/Components
- packed brown sugar - 1/4 c
- salt - 1 tsp
- water - 1/2 c
- cider vinegar - 2 Tbsp
- lemon juice - 2 Tbsp
- clove garlic, minced - 1 item
- Worcestershire sauce - 2 tsp
- bay leaf - 1 item
- ketchup - 1 c
- prepared mustard - 2 tsp
- hot pepper sauce - 1/2 1
How to make tangy barbecue sauce:
Combine all of the ingredients in a small saucepan; bring to a boil, stirring occasionally. Reduce heat, cover and simmer for 30 minutes. Discard bay leaf. Use as a basting sauce for chicken, pork or beef.Recipe categories: Sauces, Condiments, etc., Savory sauces.
