Ingredients/Components
- shortening - 1/2 c
- medium onion, chopped - 1 item
- tomatoes
- cornmeal - 1 c
- ground beef - 2 c
- eggs - 2 item
- salt
- pepper - 1/2 tsp
- paprika - 1 tsp
- canned corn - 3/4 c
How to make tamale loaf:
Fry onion in shortening until brown; add tomatoes. When hot, stir in cornmeal; cook 10 minutes. Stir to prevent lumping. Remove from stove; add seasoning, meat, corn and eggs. Blend well and pour in greased pan. Bake for 45 minutes.Recipe categories: Main dish, One Dish meal, Savory pies.
