Ingredients/Components
- chili powder - 1/2 tsp
- chopped onions - 1/2 c
- shredded lettuce - 3/4 c
- chopped green pepper - 1/2 c
- salt optional - 1/4 tsp
- taco shells - 4 item
- tomato sauce - 1 c
- cumin - 1/8 tsp
- diced tomatoes - 1 c
- extra lean ground beef or ground turkey - 5 oz
- part skim Mozzarella cheese, grated - 4 oz
How to make tacos:
Cook ground meat until brown. Drain on paper towel. Return to skillet and add tomato sauce, chili powder, salt and cumin; simmer for 10 minutes.Meanwhile, warm taco shells in oven. To serve, divide meat mixture evenly among 4 taco shells. Top with vegetables and cheese. Makes 4 servings. One-thousand calorie recipe.
