Taco salad
Ingredients/Components
- pkg - 1 oz
- ground beef - 1 lb
- large onion, chopped - 1 item
- can whole tomatoes - 1 oz
- Cheddar cheese, grated - 3/4 lb
- can Ranch Style beans - 1 item
- can taco sauce - 1 oz
- medium head lettuce, shredded - 1 item
- black olives, chopped optional - 3/4 c
How to make taco salad:
Brown ground beef; season with salt and garlic powder to taste. Drain tomatoes well, reserving the juice. Add tomato juice, taco sauce and beans to meat mix. Simmer 5 minutes. Layer tomatoes, onion and olives in a large bowl. Top with meat mixture and cheese. If you are planning to have leftovers, it is best to serve the lettuce and chips on the side, otherwise layer lettuce, cheese and chips on top. Serve hot.Recipe categories: Salads, Main dish, Beans.
