Ingredients/Components
- salt and pepper to taste - 1 item
- olive oil - 1 item
- green onions - 3 item
- juice of 1/2 lemon
- ripe tomatoes - 3 item
- bunch parsley - 1 item
- dried mint - 1 tsp
- bulghur wheat - 1 c
How to make tabouleh:
Soak bulghur wheat in 2 cups of warm water for 1/2 hour. Chop parsley, green onions and tomatoes. Pour excess water from wheat. Combine all ingredients in large bowl. Refrigerate several hours or overnight. Serve on lettuce leaves or stuffed in pita pockets.Recipe categories: Southwest asia (middle east), Asian, Lebanese.
