Ingredients/Components

  • salt - 1 tsp
  • all-purpose flour - 3 Tbsp
  • pepper - 1/8 tsp
  • chopped onions - 1/2 c
  • chopped green pepper - 1/2 c
  • shredded Mozzarella cheese
  • basil leaves - 1/4 tsp
  • can tomatoes - 1 lb
  • stick butter or margarine - 1/2 item
  • beef round steak - 2 lb

How to make swiss steak mozzarella:

Cut meat into serving pieces; coat with flour. Melt butter in skillet. Brown meat on both sides. Add tomatoes, salt, basil and pepper. Cover and simmer 1 hour. Add onion and green pepper. Cook 25 to 30 minutes or until meat is tender. Cover meat with cheese. Cover and heat until cheese melts.
