Swiss steak mozzarella
Ingredients/Components
- salt - 1 tsp
- all-purpose flour - 3 Tbsp
- pepper - 1/8 tsp
- chopped onions - 1/2 c
- chopped green pepper - 1/2 c
- shredded Mozzarella cheese
- basil leaves - 1/4 tsp
- can tomatoes - 1 lb
- stick butter or margarine - 1/2 item
- beef round steak - 2 lb
How to make swiss steak mozzarella:
Cut meat into serving pieces; coat with flour. Melt butter in skillet. Brown meat on both sides. Add tomatoes, salt, basil and pepper. Cover and simmer 1 hour. Add onion and green pepper. Cook 25 to 30 minutes or until meat is tender. Cover meat with cheese. Cover and heat until cheese melts.Recipe categories: Meat, Beef, Steak.
