- can stewed tomatoes - 1 item
- can tomato paste - 1 item
- salt and pepper - 1 item
- can tomato soup - 1 item
- celery seed - 1 item
- can mushrooms - 1 item
- onion - 1 item
- bay leaves - 1 item
- garlic - 1 item
- celery flakes - 1 item
- can carrots - 1 item
- meat - 1 item
- flour for browning - 1 item
How to make swiss steak:
Cut meat into serving pieces, then flour meat, salt and pepper (to taste) and add a small piece of garlic. Brown meat in grease in pan.Take mushroom juice, onion, tomato soup and tomato paste and cook on top of stove. Put over meat, carrots, stewed tomatoes and mushrooms. Add pinch of celery seed, celery flakes and bay leaves. When sauce thickens, pour over meat. Put in oven for 1 1/2 to 2 hours at 300°.
