Ingredients/Components
- salt - 1 tsp
- flour - 1/4 c
- oil - 1 2
- 1 c - 8 oz
- can 1 c
- pepper - 1/4 tsp
- large onion, sliced - 1 item
- large bell pepper, sliced - 1 item
- round steak, cut 1/2 to 3/4-inch thick - 2 2
How to make swiss steak:
Cut meat into serving pieces. In small bowl, combine flour, salt and pepper. Coat meat with seasoned flour (use all the flour).In a large skillet, brown meat in hot oil. Add remaining ingredients. Simmer, covered, 1/4 to 1/2 hour or until tender.
Serve with potatoes or with white rice. Makes 6 servings.
