Ingredients/Components
- flour - 1 item
- cornstarch - 1 tsp
- water - 1/2 c
- shortening - 2 Tbsp
- medium onion, diced - 1 item
- salt and pepper - 1 item
- medium green pepper, diced - 1 item
- stalk celery, diced - 1 item
- tomato soup - 1 c
- round steak, 1 inch thick - 2 lb
How to make swiss steak:
Cut meat into serving pieces. Dredge in seasoned flour. Melt shortening and brown meat on both sides. Add onion, celery, green pepper, tomato soup and water. Reduce heat.
