Swiss chocolate squares
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 2 c
- eggs - 2 item
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- milk - 6 Tbsp
- sour cream - 1/2 c
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- flour - 2 c
- water - 1 c
- baking soda - 1 tsp
- powdered sugar
- unsweetened chocolate
- margarine - 1/2 c
- pecans - 1 item
How to make swiss chocolate squares:
Frosting:1/2 c. margarine6 Tbsp. milk1 1/2 sq. unsweetened chocolate4 1/2 c. powdered sugar1 tsp. vanilla pecans Combine water, margarine and chocolate in a saucepan. Bring to a boil. Remove from heat and stir in flour, sugar, eggs, sour cream, baking soda and salt. Mix well. Pour into a greased 15 1/2 x 10 1/2-inch jelly roll pan. Bake at 375° for 20 to 25 minutes. Frost while still warm.To make frosting: Combine margarine, milk and chocolate in a saucepan. Boil for 1 minute. Remove from heat. Add powdered sugar and beat until smooth. Add vanilla. Spread on cake and garnish with pecans.
