Swiss chocolate squares
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 2 c
- eggs - 2 item
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- milk - 6 Tbsp
- sour cream - 1/2 c
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- chopped nuts - 1/2 c
- flour - 2 c
- water - 1 c
- baking soda - 1 tsp
- margarine - 1/2 c
- sifted confectioners sugar
- chocolate sq - 1 1/2
How to make swiss chocolate squares:
Combine water, 1/2 cup margarine and 1 1/2 chocolate squares in saucepan; bring to boil. Remove from heat. Stir in combined flour and sugar. Add eggs, sour cream, baking soda and salt and mix well.Pour into greased and floured 15 1/2 x 10 1/2-inch jelly roll pan. Bake at 375° for 20 to 25 minutes.
Combine 1/2 cup margarine, milk and 1 1/2 chocolate squares in saucepan and bring to boil. Remove from heat. Add confectioners sugar and beat until smooth. Stir in vanilla. Frost squares while warm. Sprinkle with nuts. Cool and cut in squares. Very dark, moist and good.
