Swiss cheese onion pie
Ingredients/Components
- eggs - 3 item
- milk - 1 c
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- flour - 1 Tbsp
- butter - 2 Tbsp
- unbaked pie shell - 1 item
- pepper - 1/8 tsp
- medium onion, chopped - 1 item
- Swiss cheese - 1/2 lb
- slices bacon, cooked crisp and crumbled - 3 item
How to make swiss cheese onion pie:
Cut cheese into thin slices. Saute onion in butter and place in bottom of pie shell. Sprinkle cheese with flour and place on top of onion. Beat eggs with milk, salt and pepper. Pour on top of cheese and onion. Bake at 400° for 20 minutes, then at 300° for 25 minutes. Crumble crisp bacon on top and serve. Serves 6.Recipe categories: Eggs/dairy, Egg, Cheese.
