- sugar - 1 c
- salt
- flour - 9 c
- butter - 1 c
- warm water - 1/2 c
- slightly beaten eggs - 6 item
- dry yeast - 3 pkg
- scalded milk - 2 c
How to make swiss bread:
Preheat oven to 350°. Scald 2 cups of milk. Add the salt, sugar and the soft butter. Stir as it cools so sugar will not settle on the bottom of the pan. Add yeast. Add 4 1/2 cups flour. Add the slightly beaten eggs to mixture. Add more flour; knRecipe categories: < 60 mins, Breads, Side dish.
