Sweet potato souffle
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 2 tsp
- milk - 1 c
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- butter - 2 Tbsp
- eggs, separated - 2 item
- chopped walnuts - 1/2 c
- raisins - 1/2 c
- ground nutmeg - 1/2 tsp
- marshmallows - 15 item
- mashed sweet potatoes - 2 c
How to make sweet potato souffle:
Scald milk with salt, sugar and butter. Add to potatoes and beat well. Beat egg yolks; add to potato mixture. Stir in raisins, nutmeg and nuts. Beat egg whites until stiff; fold into mixture. Pour into 1 1/2-quart casserole. Top with marshmallows. Bake at 325° for 45 minutes until set.Recipe categories: Side dish, Potato, Vegetables.
