Sweet potato pound cake
Ingredients/Components
- sugar
- cinnamon - 1 tsp
- eggs - 3 item
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- milk - 1 tsp
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- flour - 2 c
- nutmeg - 1 tsp
- oil
- baking powder - 2 tsp
- baking soda - 2 tsp
- butter flavoring - 2 tsp
- allspice - 1/8 tsp
- soft butter or margarine - 1 tsp
- sweet potatoes, mashed or canned
- Sift all dry ingredients in separate bowl
How to make sweet potato pound cake:
Cream sugar, oil and eggs until fluffy. Sift all dry ingredients in separate bowl. Add mashed potatoes to sugar mixture, then dry ingredients slowly. Mix well. Pour into well-greased and floured tube pan. Bake at 350° for 1 hour or until done.Glaze (Optional):1 c. powdered sugar1 tsp. soft butter or margarine1 tsp. milk Beat mixture and drizzle over hot cake.Recipe categories: Desserts, Cakes, Weeknight.
