  • sugar - 2 c
  • cinnamon - 1 tsp
  • eggs - 3 item
  • butter - 2 Tbsp
  • nutmeg - 1 tsp
  • buttermilk - 1 c
  • baking powder - 1 tsp
  • baking soda - 1 tsp
  • hot mashed potatoes - 3 c

How to make sweet potato pie:

Mix spices, baking powder and sugar. Put butter in hot potatoes. Beat eggs until frothy. Add soda to buttermilk. Mix all ingredients and pour into unbaked pie crusts. Bake 10 minutes at 400°. Reduce heat to 300° and bake 45 minutes longer. This makes 2 pies.
