Sweet potato custard



  • sugar - 1 c
  • butter - 1/4 lb
  • nutmeg - 1/2 tsp
  • egg - 1 item
  • cooked, mashed sweet potatoes
  • evaporated sweet milk - 1 c

How to make sweet potato custard:

Combine all ingredients using electric mixer. Beat until light and fluffy. Pour into 9-inch pie shells. Bake at 350° until a knife stuck in the middle is clean. Brush brown sugar over top of pies and on crust. This make 2 pies.
