Sweet potato biscuits
Ingredients/Components
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- buttermilk - 2/3 c
- baking powder - 2 tsp
- baking soda - 1/4 tsp
- all-purpose flour - 2 c
- ground cinnamon - 1/4 tsp
- mashed sweet potatoes - 1/2 c
How to make sweet potato biscuits:
Mash coarsely the sweet potatoes and blend with the rest of the dry ingredients. Lightly mix dry ingredients with buttermilk, stirring with a spoon. Sweet potatoes can be moist or dry so adjust the amount of buttermilk to form a smooth dough. Spread the biscuit dough out 1/2-inch thick on a floured counter.
