Ingredients/Components

  • cinnamon - 1/2 tsp
  • melted butter or margarine - 2 Tbsp
  • sugar optional - 3 Tbsp
  • dash of white pepper - 1 item
  • small sweet potatoes, peeled and sliced - 4 item
  • cooking apples, cored and sliced - 2 item

How to make sweet potato and apple casserole:

Combine last three ingredients. Layer half each of sweet potatoes and apples in an 8-inch square baking dish coated with vegetable cooking spray. Sprinkle half of the cinnamon mixture over potatoes and apples, drizzle half of the melted butter over potatoes and apples. Repeat procedure with remaining ingredients. Cover casserole and bake at 350° for 1 hour. Check often.
