Sweet dill pickles
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 6 c
- salt - 3 Tbsp
- water - 1 qt
- vinegar
- mustard seed - 3/4 tsp
- dill seed - 1 item
- turmeric
How to make sweet dill pickles:
Measure 1/2 teaspoon dill to each quart jar. Slice pickles and pack in jars. Bring syrup to boil; pour over pickles. Seal, then process 5 minutes after boiling point is reached.Recipe categories: Condiments, etc., Water baths, Heirloom/historical.
